Job Description

Specification Sales Manager - Wall CoveringsJob Title: Specification Sales Manager - Wall CoveringsIndustry Sector: Hospitality, Specification Sales, Interior Designers, Hotel Specifiers, Interiors, International Hotels, Private Healthcare, Care Homes and Student AccommodationArea to be covered: North WestRemuneration: £40,000 Neg. + 20% BonusBenefits: Fully expensed car or allowance & full benefitsThe role of the Specification Sales Manager Wall Coverings will involve:

  • Field sales position selling our clients manufactured range of vinyl and non-woven contract wall coverings
  • Majority of time targeting the hospitality/ hotel marketplace
  • Remainder of time working on private healthcare/ care homes and student accommodation projects
  • Winning specifications with in-house designers within international hotels, as well as external interior designers and architectural specifiers A&D
  • Small element of your time working with specifers within main contractors, protecting specifications
  • Four days a week client meetings focussed, one day working from home/ admin
  • Manchester focussed, although you will need to spend some time at our clients’ factory or head office (both based in the home counties)
  • 50% refurbishment, 50% new build project
  • Project sizes from £5,000 to £200,000 typically £8,000-£10,000for floor to floor hotel project
  • Working as the dedicated field sales person for the North West
  • Year one tasked with circa £350,000-£450,000 revenue target, year two this may rise to £900,000
    • The ideal applicant will be a Specification Sales Manager Wall Coverings with:
  • Specification field sales experience with interior designers or in-house hotel specifiers
  • Contacts within hotel chains is not essential but may be useful
  • Strong commercial sales skills
  • Team player, must be prepared to work with and utilise the back office expertise at head office/ the factory
  • High energy levels
  • Ideally 4-5 years proven field sales experience
  • Ideally an interior / aesthetically pleasing related sales background such as floor and wall coverings, wallpapers, ceramics, ceilings, floors, lighting, soft flooring, soft furnishings etc
  • Bright, bubbly and enthusiastic
  • Autonomous, driven and excellent territory planning skills
  • Computer literate, strong numeracy and literacy - good education
