Specification Sales Manager - Daylight Systems Job Title: Specification Sales Manager - Daylight Systems Industry Sector: Daylight Systems, Roof Windows, Glazing, Skylights, Roof lights, Roof Glazing, Roofing, Building Envelope, Canopies, Curtain Walling, Facades, Cladding, Insulation, Dome Roof Lights, Panel Glazing, Structural Glazing, Smoke Ventilation, Roofing, Flat Roofing, Commercial, Architects, Building Surveyors, Specification, Main Contractor, Contractors, InstallersArea to be covered: North West & Yorkshire Ideally Based: Manchester Remuneration: £40,000 - £50,000 + £10,000-£15,000 bonusBenefits: Company car & full benefits package The role of the Technical Sales Manager - Daylight Systems will involve:

  • Selling a high quality manufactured range of daylight systems such as: roof glazing, roof windows, roof domes, large glass systems, daylight windows, glazing ventilation systems, smoke exhaust systems, heat systems
  • Approximately 50% of your time will be spent generating specifications via architects and building surveyors, the remaining 50% will be following sale through to main & sub-contractors
  • Targeted to achieve circa £500k-£750k first year
  • Working on predominantly commercial projects such as universities, colleges, gyms and hospitals
  • Majority of your time will be spent generating new business relationships however there will be an element of account management with the existing pipeline
  • Constant updating and maintenance of CRM system
  • Generating leads from software systems such as Glennigans
  • Working closely with internal and external support team and colleagues to get the most from the sales process
  • Following the design build process through to installation
  • High levels of organisational skills such as planning, punctuality and prescience
    • The ideal applicant will be an Technical Sales Manager - Daylight Systems with:
  • Must have previous construction field sales experience selling into the specification route to market via architects and building surveyors
  • Would also consider a main contractor route to market (tier 1 contractors)
  • Must have experience selling a technical related product such as glazing, roof windows, daylight systems, cladding, insulation, facades, canopies, walkways, roof lights, skylights, ceilings, curtain walling, smoke ventilation systems, facades
  • Must be hungry and passionate about progressing within your career
  • Must understand technical understanding
  • Experience conducting CPD’s
  • A strong determined work ethic with ambition to grow their sales career
  • Strong computer literacy skills
