Specification Sales Manager - Building Drainage ProductsJob Title: Specification Sales Manager - Building Drainage SystemsIndustry Sector: Building Products, Building Materials, Building Drainage Systems, Building Drainage, Rainwater Harvesting, Specification Sales Manager, Specification Sales, Architects, Engineers, ConsultantsArea to be covered: Northern England (ideally based M62 corridor)Remuneration: £45,000 - £50,000 (depending on exp) + £8,500 bonusBenefits: company car OR £500 car allowance & full benefits packageThe role of the Specification Sales Manager - Building Drainage Systems will involve:

  • Technical field sales position, selling a high end manufactured range of building drainage products
  • All of your time will be spent generating specification via architects, public heath engineers and consultants
  • You will be working in conjunction to a Business Development Manager who will follow the project through with the main contractors
  • Typical projects include: residential offices, commercial kitchens, gyms, leisure centres, hospitals, airports, schools, universities etc
  • Working on projects from £2k to £1m, with an average of £30k-£400k depending on project sizes
  • Will inherit a territory currently turning over £1.1m looking to double in size in the next few years
  • Conduct regular CPD seminars
  • Regular upkeep of CRM system and understanding of value engineering
  • Will be targeted on KPIs not revenue
The ideal applicant will be a Specification Sales Manager - Building Drainage Systems with:
  • Must have a proven track record of generating specifications with architects, engineers and consultants
  • Must have sold a technical building products such as: building drainage, roofing systems, building envelope, acoustics, technical flooring products
  • Would consider someone from a drainage engineer background
  • Must be technically minded and understand building industry routines
  • Ability to manage territory like its your own business
  • Hungry, dynamic and driven
