Solutions Architect Location: Reading, Birmingham, Peterborough, Manchester, Sheffield or Glasgow as base but WFH. Package: £65-75,000 basic, 15% KPI driven bonus, pension, private health. The job market might still have an element of uncertainty but this company are continuing to push forward and alongside a range of recent hires across the architecture group, we have a couple of new positions for solutions architects to join the team. These are ring fenced, business critical roles in the solutions group for one of the main ISPs and these solutions architects will be joining the team that delivers enterprise level / complex solutions across large scale public and private sector LAN/WAN. Weve got a lot of flexibility on location and youll work from home for the majority of time, and then be formally based from the nearest national hub office and that could be Reading, Birmingham, West London, Peterborough, Manchester or Glasgow.Youll be the guidance to the pre and post sales teams by way of large scale, complex bids and tenders alongside the technical transition of service away from previous providers into the companies award winning managed services portfolio so, supporting qualification, design and eventual sale of a range of data network focused products and services. Who are you Solutions architect background with customer wan design and weve seen the majority of the team have the blend of that senior level technical knowledge but also, many have been involved with pre-sales so that could be a potential background that would work well. As a Cisco Gold Partner, youll maybe come from that background (But equally happy to talk with SAs from the range of vendors) and we would suggest the roles would suit a CCNP / CCDP (Or equiv) calibre architect with in depth networking protocols - MPLS, VXLAN, BGP, OSPF, VPLS and QoS.Recent and ongoing focus will be around SD-WAN and vendor of choice is Versa with Palo Alto security. We are thinking either an ISP, MSP or SI as the likely company you currently work for but we have flexibility on this and can keep an open mind. Key point is that the positions are not just technical and the involvement in and around pre-sales would be essential. The Company: Household name, and one of the key players in technology managed solutions. Cisco gold partner with a great track record for advancement, flexibility and making a great customer experience. Benefits package is flexible with bonus of upto 15% of salary, excellent pension scheme, private healthcare and a long list of other perks. Required skills
