Job Description

Solutions Architect Leading Technology Transformation Career Progression Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + benefitsTravel: Home-based (ideally North West or Midlands) with travel 1-2 times a week to client site across the UK

They provide a range of world-class technology-related consultancy services and solutions to clients, including start-ups, fast growth businesses and established corporate organisations. Their aim is to bring together organisation design, processes, and technology in order to achieve goals and deliver a stand out customer experience.Due to growth and business acquisitions, they are adding a Solution Architect to their team to work closely in a Pre-sales function to scope and design customer solutions. You will be a technology enthusiast who is good with people and enjoy solving problems. In this role you will need to be able to work under direction and on your initiative. You will be keen to learn and gain experience with new technologies and be creative in their application. This company is a huge advocate of training and personal development - so if you are looking to move from a 3rd Line Support or Internal Technical Support type role into a Technical Architect or Solutions Architect position, this is the ideal role for you as they will provide everything you need to make the step up.Responsibilities - Solutions Architect
  • Turn client network infrastructure and security requirements in to detailed technical designs
  • Produce technical design network diagrams and supporting documentation
  • Provide IT project delivery teams with detailed plans, plus technical support during project delivery
  • Lead technical assessment of infrastructure and security systems, identifying gaps and opportunities
  • Assist with IT project implementations
  • Work with the wider team to deliver IT support services and IT projects
    • Skills Required - Solutions Architect
  • Advanced LAN/WAN/WLAN network design
  • Advanced design in the following: IP networking, Core switching, Routing, VRRP, Wi-Fi, VLAN, Site to site VPN configuration, VoIP/SIP
  • Previous experience designing firewalls, UTMs and Web Filters
  • Previous experience designing Network Access Control / Authentication
  • CCNA or CCNP qualification
  • Keen desire to learn and progress your career
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to be involved in client conversations
  • Car and full driving licence
    • Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)Network Architect / Networking Architect / Solutions Architect / Technical Architect / CCNA / CCNP / Pre-sales
