Multiple Software Engineers (PHP | NodeJS | Go | Typescript | AWS)

This is a brand-new opportunity for multiple Software Engineers (PHP | NodeJS | Go | Typescript | AWS) to come on board and join a multichannel retail team who are working on a system that is the backbone of the company.This is a FTSE 100 company and a unique opportunity to join one of the UKs largest retail groups. Established in Manchester over 20 years ago, this company are now a multi-million pound business with footprints across the globe. They have a rigid growthstrategy and over the past few years have grown by 30%. It is their well-established engineering team that have played a huge role in the success of the business and we are now looking for multiple Software Engineers to join the continued success.The roleAs the Software Engineer (PHP | NodeJS | Go | Typescript | AWS) you will play an integral role in the development, testing and deployment of the system which is used to process customers order data. You will be responsible for building new applicationsand services, in addition to maintaining existing ones.Day-to-day youll get involved in things such as:
  • Develop and maintain systems which are used to process the customers order data
  • Develop and maintain user-interface which is used internally and externally
  • Testing & deployments
  • Collaborate with the wider IT team including Product Owners, Software Architects, & PMs
  • Peer reviews, stand-ups, team discussions
  • Follow best practices
  • Research and explore new technologies
  • Create technical documentations
The requirements
  • 3+ years experience within programming
  • Experience with modern backend technologies eg. PHP / NodeJS / Golang
  • Javascript, jQuery
  • Typescript (desirable)
  • MySQL, MSSQL
  • AWS
  • DevOps (desirable)
Location: HQ is based in either Greater Manchester or Manchester City Centre.
