Software Engineer - Machine Learning - Agile, CI - Ruby, C#, Python£55,000 to £65,000 Negotiable - Brilliant varied Benefits PackageCentral Manchester - Remote during CovidPermanentOne of the UK’s leading on-line retailers of luxury beach holidays sending over 1.5 million people abroad each year, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer with experience in building and managing Machine Learning pipelines in the cloud.The role will be to work in their personalisation team. The personalisation team is responsible for building out the platform that powers all personalisation on site. This is a high impact team aiming to show the right product, to the right customer, at the right time.The Company is using Machine Learning to rank search results and recommend the perfect holiday to customers. The team are iterating on current algorithms and are now looking for a Software Engineer/Mentor who can bring more experience and new ideas. The Company is currently utilising cloud platforms to store data and run machine learning pipelines.Main Tasks & ResponsibilitiesThe Machine learning Software Engineer will:>Experience in building and managing machine learning pipelines in the cloud.> Mentor and help grow other engineers.> Play a key role in shaping the technical direction of their teams and the wider engineering department.> Be the voice within the team for software craftsmanship having a natural ability to clearly communicate technical detail to a non-technical audience.> Promote Continuous Improvement. The Company deploys multiple times a day and they are working towards a continuous delivery pipeline.> Experience with Ruby, C# and Python so polyglot thinking is essential.The Company is evolving to a brand-agnostic, domain-based, decoupled architecture.
