Job Description

Software engineer with device drivers experience on Unix Linux needed to work in Cheadle (Manchester) for 2-3 months with the reaminder of the project being based in Bristol.Looking for a Senior Software Engineer to work for a major customer on a marine program on their site for a full lifecycle project requiring broader experience.Key tasks / Responsibilities:

  • Production of Requirements Specification
  • Production of Software Design Document
  • Coding
  • Production of the software test plan and test descriptions
  • Test execution, HW-SW integration and reporting
  • Experience delivering device drivers for Linux/Unix - preferred Redhat, but others would be acceptable
  • Working experience in Agile (scrum team) environment
    • Mandatory skills:
  • Experience delivering device drivers for Linux/Unix - preferred Redhat, but others would be acceptable
  • Strong Linux RedHat knowledge (v7, v6 advantageous)
  • C/C++ on a Linux/Unix platform.
  • Python, Java
  • Working experience on customer site and interface with team
