Job Description

Software EngineerReed Professional Services are looking for a Software Engineer to join a team who are transforming how our client engages with its audience. Our clients aim is to become more data driven in how it supports the delivery of its services.This role requires an experienced Software Engineer. Reed Professional Services are working with a key player in the broadcasting sector to support a formal testing process which new devices are required to pass to attain certification. These test packsare made up of a combination of automated tests which are surfaced through an online Automated Certification Tool (ACT) and manual tests available through run books currently presented in various html documents and a spreadsheet. Work will commence to consolidatethe manual product tests into the ACT user interface. These tests will still take the form of manual execution to simplify the process of performing testing, managing the tests, and collating and reviewing results from partners and internal testing.Experience: -

  • Solid JavaScript skills across the full stack, including ReactJS, NodeJS
  • HTML5 and CSS experience
  • AWS experience, including Lambda, S3 and DynamoDB
  • Strong knowledge of design principles and patterns
  • Good experience of Continuous Integration
  • Experience of writing quality code incl. TTD, automation and Agile Development
  • Excellent communication skills, and comfortable working in a collaborative environment
Duration: 6 months contract.
