Job Description

Job; Site Reliability Engineer - Remote UKThis company is an all-in-one platform designed to make podcasting as simple as possible for businesses and content creators. Companies use their advanced platform to launch, distribute, and grow podcasts with ease; published on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher (and loads more) with a single click.This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented Site Reliability Engineer with strong skills to join a thriving software as a service company on a remote / work from home (UK) basis. You will be joining a close-knit creative/technical team working on extending and maintaining an established, successful product user all over the world. You will be creating a modern feature rich solution which will be used by thousands of direct customers and hundreds of millions of end users.Responsibilities:

  • Being a team player in the design, development and implementation of new and existing web apps.
  • Develop reliable, efficient and scalable cloud-based solutions.
  • Work with technologies such as AWS, docker, Kubernetes, Nginx, Rabbitmq and Linux.
  • Database design, optimisation and programming.
    • Their ideal candidate will have:(Technologies they use are in brackets)
  • Commercial SRE/Sysadmin/Devops engineer experience
  • Experience administering cloud computing platforms (AWS)
  • Experience administering a Kubernetes cluster (AWS EKS)
  • Experience administering a fleet of dedicated servers (Debian based)
  • Experience working with infrastructure as code tools (terraform, ansible)
  • Experience working with various data storage technologies (MySQL, MongoDB, Redis)
  • Experience working with different programming languages (Javascript, Python, Go, PHP)
    • Other Stuff;
  • £’s; fully DoE approx. £55k (neg.) + benefits
  • Location; fully remote / work from home (UK) with very occasional visits to their central Manchester offices for essential meetings
