Job Description

This role is aimed at an SEO specialist, someone who knows search optimisation and can show their track record of success. Were following our digital first path in lead generation and client engagement and this role will ultimately assist in taking us onestep further.So why should you be interestedWere different. Youll get direct visibility and impact in your role, and people will know (even if they dont always understand) your input.The SEO Manager will be responsible for working with the Head of Digital to develop, plan and implement Simpson Millars overall SEO strategy.This is an on the tools strategy, development and implementation role, where you will be responsible for focusing our approach and making recommendations for improving visibility of key commercial search terms supporting our aggressive growth plan whilsttracking and reporting on end-to-end performance.On a day to day basis, youll be:

  • Working towards improving our organic search optimisation and ROI maximisation to defined SEO KPIs
  • Measuring and reporting performance of all organic digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals
  • Working on a continual programme of CRO and UX performance improvements to drive new business and engagement
  • Guiding the content team through keyword research and feeding into the wider content strategy aligning the output to improvements
  • Working with the Head of Digital to implement the agreed strategy for digital client acquisition and retention
Although theres a Manager title to this role, theres no people managerial responsibilities, at least initially, and that means that youll have to be prepared to roll your sleeves up and do the basics as well as the strategic thinking.And what else will you need
  • In-depth knowledge of various platforms, Google Analytics including GA4, Google Search Console, SEM Rush and CMS platforms, preferably Umbraco.
  • In-depth knowledge of SEO principles and methods with experience in analysing data and making recommendations based on the information
  • Expertise in A/B and other testing methods
  • Ideally 5 years+ of experience in a similar role
