The clientWe utilise our specialist engineering skills and knowledge to deliver products and services including consultancy and projects. Listening to the needs of the industry, we solve customers problems, big or small, to design and deliver practical solutionsthat include operational maintenance and life extension of critical equipment.The roleThe Senior V&V Engineer will be responsible for Verification and Validation activities of PSL Projects. In each project life cycle phase, the Senior V&V Engineer shall demonstrate correctness and adequacy of the RAMS analysis, compliance of project deliverables,adequacy of the methods, tools and techniques used within projects, and correctness, consistency and adequacy of test specifications and executed tests.Essential Criteria- Working experience of V&V activities validating a range of industry standards and regulations.- Attention to detail and a strong ethical ethos.- Able to identify and critically evaluate project assumptions, a systemic thinker with the ability to solve problems in a structured manner.- Constructively implement V&V activities to meet project and business requirements.- Understand the necessity to document and prove in an auditable sense that any project or product development is conducted in a professionally and safely.- Interpersonal skills, in particular, the ability to work with staff and customers at all levels and generate positive, open relationships, evidence of conflict management.- Application of EN50126, EN50128, EN50129.- Knowledge of the wider Railway system including Signalling systems.Candidates must hold a Masters level Engineering or relevant Science Degree or have clear industry-relevant experience in V&V. Candidates must also be CEng or have demonstrable levels of CEng competency.
