Job Description

Job Title: Senior Town PlannerLocation: ManchesterSalary: CompetitiveDo you want to work within a rapidly growing and established planning and landscape consultancyWell, a brilliant opportunity has presented itself to work with a client who offers a broadened range of landscape planning expertise, including strategic landscape planning and landscape research. The right candidate will take be able to provide a professionallead, acknowledging the close link with EIA and Consents coordination.Qualifications and Experience:

  • Mentoring staff to assist in their professional development
  • Technical planning work including liaising with clients, preparing fee proposals, policy research, preparing and submitting applications, preparing written local plan representations, and submitting appeals
  • Providing expert written and verbal planning advice to clients
  • MRTPI Qualified
  • Excellent client relationship building and management
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
The main duties will include:
  • To provide a professional planning service to the Practice.
  • To coordinate and manage multidisciplinary teams working on planning
  • To maintain a good relationship with clients and deliver high quality project work.
  • To manage projects efficiently in accordance with the client project management procedures.
  • To work with planning colleagues in managing the workload of the team to ensure best use of resources.
  • To work with the Directors and others in undertaking marketing tasks and preparation of fee proposals as required.
  • To work with others to ensure planning aspects of the website are interesting, current, and relevant.
  • To monitor developments in planning practice and communicate these to the team; and
