A MARKET LEADING Banking client based in Manchester require an accomplished Senior Test Manager to join them for an exciting and challenging engagement.Job Title: Senior Test ManagerLocation: ManchesterStart: ASAPJob Summary:We are seeking a seasoned Test Manager with extensive experience leading programmes of testing across a range of technologies and architectures including microservices, APIs, front end UI, mainframe Database, and Big Data feeds to name but a few. You will have excellent stakeholder management skills and a pragmatic risk based approach to delivering test solutions in a timely manner.You will be responsible for working across two transformational programmes delivering both Application and Telephony Fraud changes within a predominantly agile environment. Co-ordinating across multiple platforms/teams/vendors each running their own CI pipelines and ensuring valid e2e testing is defined, understood and executed against.To be successful in the role you will need proven experience in:working across multiple Vendors and teams/functionsworking across multiple Programmes delivering separate outcomesdelivering large projects/programmes/portfolios of work as a Test Manager in Agile/Scrum environmentsleading by example in values and behaviours to create a nurturing collaborative passionate cultureexcellent collaboration ability working with Product Owners, Architects and software engineers to design effective solutions to problems and subsequent tests to prove themSenior stakeholder managementmanaging test environments and balancing testing needs to achieve Goalsautomation tooling, frameworks and CI/CD pipelines and ideally understanding of how devops supports testingdefining test strategy and creating test plans to deliver in agile and waterfallFlexible approach and ability to adapt in fast changing, nimble environmentsworking with Agile teams to ensure their changes are performance tested correctlycoaching more junior engineers to create a highly effective testing capabilityexploring new testing techniques, keeping up to date with industry changescontributing to a Knowledge Library to share new approaches and meet Definition of Ready/Done artefactscontributing to the wider test engineering community through white papers and presentationsEssential skills for the Roletesting techniques and processes, including functional, Performance testing and other non-functional testing typesan expert grasp of automation testing throughout the software delivery lifecycleStrong understanding of JIRA and ALMExpert in troubleshooting defects and working out Root cause to ensure the problem is really solvedExpert in Analysing Requirements including NFRs & validating them for Testability and converting them into test designUnderstanding of the following Test toolsSelenium/JIRA/XRAY/ALMLoadrunner/Jmeter/GatlinSplunk/AppDynamics / DynaTracePractical understanding of using containerised environments for testingSound understanding of all testing types and how to apply them in practise, including functional, performance and security testingProven experience removing technical debt from Applications or Testing frameworksCandidates will ideally show evidence of the above in their CV in order to be considered.Please be advised if you havent heard from us within 48 hours then unfortunately your application has not been successful on this occasion, we may however keep your details on file for any suitable future vacancies and contact you accordingly.Pontoon is an employment consultancy and operates as an equal opportunities employer.
