Job Description

Becoming a Senior Systems Architect with Smart DCC:A great opportunity to secure an initial 6 months day rate contract as a Senior Systems Architect based in Manchester or London with significant remote working available for this role. The Senior Systems Engineer will work for the Cross Functional DesignAuthority (CFDA) as an essential part of the CFDA providing governance over DCCs Systems Engineering. The two key focuses areas of the Systems Architect are first, that the solutions DCC deliver to its stakeholder and customer are of quality, value for money,delivered in a timely manner and meet their needs. Second, that the solutions delivered align to the CTO Architecture strategy, principles and policies .Opening summary about the roleWhat youll be doing:Support the Head of CFDA in governing DCC Systems Engineering across the whole of DCC major Programmes and Projects.Provide assurance and governance over Systems Engineering delivered by Programmes and Projects.Ensure that solutions delivered are aligned to CTO strategy, principles, and policy.Ensure that the impact of change is fully understood and correct.Ensure that solutions are fit for purpose. Meet the customer and stakeholders needs,are of quality, drive value for money and are delivered in a timely manner.What were looking for:

  • Extensive experience working as a senior Systems Engineer/Architect.
  • Systems/Software engineering background in large scale distributed systems
  • Certified TOGAF and/or ArchiMate practitioner or related Systems Architecture certification such as Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)
  • Good understanding of Systems Engineering (INCOSE ISO 15288)
  • Good understanding of Domain Driven Design (DDD), Business and Systems Architecture.
  • Good understanding of Cloud technologies, Microservices, Serverless architecture and a wide range of distributed technologies.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in an environment that trades in or around essential national infrastructure and ideally within a regulated environment- or comparable complex industries
  • Excellent verbal and written (including presentation) communication, influencing and interpersonal skills
