Job Description

Blueprint Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer to work for a UK leading multi-disciplinary design company on a long term contract basis, based near Manchester.Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Produce design deliverables, site surveys, construction stage duties, client liaison with members of design/construction teams, project management, costing and ensure progress against the project brief
  • Ensure engineering designs meet appropriate quality and compliance controls, project brief and customer requirements.
  • Contribute to the preparation of enquiry plans, tender reviews, fee estimate sheets, scopes of work and change controls as required.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
  • Degree qualified in Civil and/or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Strong structural engineering design background, including technical detailing and specification writing experience
  • Good knowledge of structural analysis and ability to use design software
  • Working knowledge of BIM software, including Autodesk Navisworks
  • Experience of working with Pharmaceuticals, Rail, Nuclear or MOD is desirable
  • Chartership with relevant body is preferred
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
