The role As one of their Software Engineers, youll be expected to be a team player, be passionate about what you do and have a strong interest in Engineering practices. As well as being able to deliver small to large tasks independently youll spend time collaborating with other Software Engineers on shared work. Their problem area is focused all around the customers needs as they book and enjoy a holiday with us so its a must that you are able to step back, put yourself in the users shoes and think about the UX. As a Software Engineer youll help inform the teams processes forward by having an interest in continuous improvement. They deploy multiple times a day and are working towards a continuous delivery pipeline. They also use a variety of programming languages within teams such as ruby, C# and python so polyglot thinking is a must.They are currently transitioning from our legacy monolithic Ruby-on-Rails application, which has grown to support six branded websites. Over the past year they have been developing a new microclient frontend architecture using Next.js, to replace a hybrid of Rails, React and Backbone. To support this, they have worked closely with their UX team, to create a new shared component library using React and Storybook. Their new microclients are built on a Node.js platform running in Kubernetes powered by a CI/CD pipeline.Their goal is to create a scalable frontend architecture to rapidly create new brands and websites.What skills will you need* Experience working on developing new micro client front end architecture projects * Experience working on a new shared compenent library using react and Storyboo * Solid Ruby - C# - Python skills * Experience of working in an Agile environment Please click on the apply button and send me your CV if you would like to be considered.
