Job Description

Senior Software EngineerDay rate: £600 - £700outside IR35Length of contract: 12 monthsLocation: Remote in the UKRole: Exciting greenfield project for a client project based in Cheshire focussed on building a new Elasticsearch data platform

  • Have you developed projects using Elasticsearch and MongoDB
  • Do you have experience with microservice architecture using AWS and AWS Lambda
  • Have you led projects i.e. Teach Lead, Senior Engineer, Software Developer, or Architect on data platform build or replatform builds

They have a specialist teams across SoftwareDevelopment and Enterprise and Solution Architecture.A Senior Software Developer is required for an exciting greenfield client project based in Greater Manchester. This project requires experience of leading software development and architecture projects in an agile environment. You will guide the developmentof a new data platform together with the development of a search algorithm and pricing model so extensive experience of Elasticsearch, AWS, and AWS Lambda mircoservices is key.You will become part of a tight knit group of very talented developers, delivering a new event based data hub and integration platform so a motivated self-starter who enjoys solving problems with excellent communication skills is a must. As the project evolves,you will have the chance to be part of delivering new machine learning and AI solutions as well as delivering new development around JavaScript, Node, and TypeScript.Key Responsibilities: Senior Software Engineer
  • Development of a new data platform together with the development of a search algorithm and pricing model using Elasticsearch and MongoDB
  • Develop in line with scalability, availability and security
  • Use your experience with AWS, AWS Lambda, and other technologies to build microservices architecture
  • Deliver new machine learning and AI solutions for campaigns, pricing, personalised content, and a new data warehouse
Experience Required: Senior Software Engineer
  • 5+ years commercial experience as a Senior Software Developer, Architect, or Team Lead
  • Strong experience leading software development projects
  • Strong knowledge and experience of Elasticsearch
  • Experience of document databases (MongoDB) including data engineering, and data modelling roles, as well as event based architectures.
  • Experience of microserver architecture including AWS, AWS Lambdas, SQS/ SNS, S3, IAM, API development, serverless.com
  • Typescript / NodeJS / Lambdas and JavaScript testing framework, e.g. Jest
