Job Description

Senior Security Manager- ISO- Checkpoint - Palo Alto - IPS/IDS To manage, maintain and improve the firms security infrastructure and to support the firms objectives and stance with regard to Information Security compliance where it relates to technology.

  • Have a deep understanding of IS risks and technologies to support and advise on operational security
  • Define the firms security architecture and deploy and maintain the appropriate on premise, cloud or hybrid solutions as required
  • Project work consisting of the evaluation, deployment and maintenance of the firms security systems and Internet connectivity solutions. Must be willing to take ownership of a project from the initial concept through to final deployment, as well as the on-going support.
  • Work closely with other teams within IS to ensure delivery of best practice for security on new services and application deployments
  • Maintain and support the existing security and Internet communications systems and provide pre-emptive problem resolution with the overall aim of enhancing IS service delivery
  • Analyse event logs for a variety of systems to maintain and alert manage potential security threats
  • Manage third party suppliers and vendors to ensure adequate service level delivery
  • Provide knowledge of relevant compliance and regulatory requirements for the firm as a whole, as well as provide specific advice within the IS department and potentially for client related transactions as and when requested
  • Follow up support calls escalated from 2nd and 1st line support. These 3rd line calls can inevitably be more involved and will require an in-depth knowledge of both operating systems, applications and computer or mobile device hardware

  • Strong TCP/IP knowledge
  • Checkpoint and Palo Alto firewalls (R7x, R8x - Splat & GAIA)
  • VPN technologies (remote access and Site to Site connections)
  • F5 TMOS (GTM / Link controllers / APM)
  • IPS/IDS configuration and maintenance
  • Hardening Windows 2008/2012 DMZ servers
  • Domain name and DNS management
  • Anti-virus platforms
  • Vulnerability assessments and Nessus
  • Mobile device management
