Job Description

The Senior Risk & Assurance Manager is responsible for providing advice and assurance for all risk types across the Group whilst working closely with the Head of Risk.Client DetailsThe organisation are a well established Financial Services business in Manchester.DescriptionThe responsibilities of the Senior Risk & Assurance Manager include, but not be limited to;

  • Design and manage the delivery of the Group Risk Assurance framework
  • Facilitate risk calibration and top risk processes across all areas of the business
  • Conduct deep dive investigations / thematic reviews on key risk topics
  • Manage a team of two direct reports, risk business partner and change assurance manager, providing direction and development
  • Escalation of key risk exposures
  • Analyse a wide range of inputs and management information for completeness and alignment to best practice
  • Work closely with other areas of the Group Risk team, including Credit and Financial risk team, Financial Crime, Regulatory Compliance and Group Risk Operations
    • ProfileThe successful Senior Risk & Assurance Manager should be able to;
  • Demonstrable Risk Management experience including time in financial services at senior/manager level
  • Ability to constructively challenge where appropriate, including senior levels, and add value by working with them to enhance their business controls
  • Ability to assess risks that may arise and the impacts to the business and find solutions that will work with business stakeholders
