Job Description

BNY Mellon is hiring a Senior Representative, Regulatory Analysis & Reporting to join the EMEA Regulatory Operations Team. The function will be building its presence in Manchester to support the EMEA region regulatory reporting commitments and will becomea centre of excellence for all operational lines of business.Core ResponsibilitiesResides in the business and supports management in day-to-day efforts related to first line of defence, support the new EMEA 5AMLD exception reporting process, providing governance and oversight of the reporting commitments to the various European Regulators.Responsible for the adherence to the policies, procedures and controls that maintain the accuracy of data reported to the regulators, ensuring of a risk culture and control environment. Much of your time will be spent dealing with and managing exception queues and queries, whilst ensuring all exceptions are investigated, data cleansed and remediated by the LOBs / Key Stakeholders in line with agreed regulatory requirements. Maintain accuracyof reports and be responsible for the maintenance and implementation of processes to ensure correct and accurate regulatory reporting.You must build close working relationships with LOBs / Key Stakeholders to ensure the correct management and oversight of regulations whilst acting as a point of contact and will develop detailed knowledge of regulatory requirements and what is requiredfrom a Regulatory Analysis and Reporting team perspective in order to meet the regulationThe role offers a fantastic development opportunity for the right candidate, currently working within an operational or client facing functional area, who is looking to build knowledge and develop new skillsKey Responsibilities:Governance Ensure there is oversight and governance over Regulations. Ensure the management and investigation of exceptions meeting regulatory requirements. Compliance with our ICFR and SOX controls in line with an agreed RCSA. Advisory Act as point of contact for both internal and external parties in relation to regulatory exception queries. Working closely with the LOBs / Key Stakeholders to reduce the number of exceptions whilst ensuring accurate reporting to the regulators in line with regulatory requirements.Projects and Change Provide support on any new initiatives, projects and work streams. Updating of Procedures/Internal Documentation of any changes of working practises in management of the exception process. Ability to work independently and possess a strong work ethic and be able to adapt quickly to change.Core Competencies: Excellent communicator who can articulate complex issues. Strong technical and analytical skills. Service oriented, with the ability to drive open issues through to resolution. Must demonstrate attention to detail and a commitment to producing highly accurate and timely reporting. Ability to build relationships and collaborate across Asset Servicing, Markets, Clearing & Collateral Management and the wider organisation.Minimum Educational or Experience Requirement: 2 or more years experience working within a client, process, or operational background. PC Literacy - intermediate level MS Office productsEssential Skills: Excellent communicator who can articulate complex issues. Strong technical and analytical skills. Service oriented, with the ability to drive open issues through to resolution. Must demonstrate attention to detail and a commitment to producing highly accurate and timely reporting.
