They are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team at leadership level.My client is experiencing rapid growth securing some exciting new projects within the region. They work within main build construction, delivering large scale design and build projects on mixed use, residential, industrial, and commercial projects. They have a solid pipeline of work 2024/25 with a range of Projects within Manchester ranging from 6million to over 95million.The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will be commercially astute and be able to demonstrate a proven track record and experience of Construction Main Contracting, with management of projects over 25million.Job Description• Leading Teams and having a significant role in the safe delivery and culture of projects - achieving high quality work first time, on programme and budget.• Heading schemes for the full project life-cycle - from inception through to project handover and customer care.• Preparation of Contractors Proposals/Employers Requirements.• Maintaining, continuing and building Client relationships.• Leading all aspects of the Operational Management of live bids / schemes.• Working closely with the Pre-Construction Department, Commercial Leads, HSEQ Team and members of the Senior Management Team / Board Directors.• Developing detailed programmes, alongside our Planning Department.• Supporting Employee development via mentoring/PDR process, active input into the Building Student Programme.To be considered you need hold the following: • Qualified to MSc or BA Hons in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience.• Effective leadership skills - with the ability and willingness to face challenges, solve problems and motivate the Team.• Commercial and Contractual awareness.• Attention to detail, planning and logical thinking, to meet demanding deadlines.• Excellent working knowledge of construction techniques, sequences, methodologies and processes.• Highly organised and methodical.They have an excellent pipeline of works within Manchester, as well as offer continued development and progression with their commercial teams.
