Job Description

Senior Quantity Surveyor - ManchesterClient: This Senior Quantity Surveyor is a leading interiors main contractor that specialise in Retail Fit Out and Refurbishment Projects. The company are an established main contractor, a leading firm within their sector and have an excellent reputation in theindustry. They have clear growth plans over the next few years that will provide plenty of progression opportunities. The majority of their work covers the commercial sector but they also have a presence in healthcare, education, leisure and retail sectors.Role: To maximise the commercial position of the project whilst maintaining positive Client relationships. Protect the companys contractual position by ensuring all obligations are discharged appropriately. Ensure the companys governance and procedural requirements are adhered to whilst targeting best practice. To take a lead role in the valuation process where applicable including ensure valuations and invoices are issued on time. To actively promote philosophy and culture on site to ensure the commercial team are fully integrated into the project team. Maintain up to date knowledge of element costings and costs/ft2. Develop initial project budget, including tender, and agree detailed cost plan with the team for agreement with the professional team. Ensure project insurance arrangements are adhered to. Advise Clients and Consultants on procurement routes available.
