Job Description

Today we employ over 6,000 people across North America, Europe, Middle East, North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, India and Asia Pacific.The opportunityBe a part of our project management consultancy business that spans our five global hubs, where you can oversee work for world leading organisations across the public and private sectors.We are seeking a senior person to be the Mace framework manager and be the lead and interface for Mace within the client. Work collaboratively with the client to establish best practices and lead the Mace resources across, project management, project controls, commercial and stakeholder management.This is a supporting and mentoring role to the clients senior project controls manager and programme manager and you will need to establish a good relationship and help to mentor the client’s team with best practices to bring the business in to a mature and stable programme.Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying gaps with the current processes and providing solutions and developing the best practices to fill the gaps.
  • Providing continuous improvements to the processes and project controls.
  • Providing training for new and improved processes across the PMO and project teams.
  • Managing the delivery of and subsequent performance of the baseline schedule, costs, maintenance and control.
  • Collecting and interpreting schedule and cost data and providing output to the programme and project teams.
  • Monitoring actual performance against the schedule and cost to identify delay, early and late completion, spend vs baseline analysis and variation and forecasting.
  • Interfacing with the project technical staff to define change to schedules and costs, identification of variances from the original plan.
  • Identifying and evaluating associated schedule, resource conflicts and potential cost impacts and issues.
  • Requiring to work closely with the client SPCM, programme manager and contractors, evaluating their schedules, costs and actively manage the data inputs with them to ensure a successful outcome.
  • Managing the performance of schedules and cost inputs on a variety of projects with project control managers and project managers.
  • Developing of reports (Power Bi), together with the planning and controls leads.
  • About you
  • Minimum HND or HNC qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Major project and major development experience.
  • Experience working in rail and client PMO environment.
  • Strong knowledge and appreciation of health and safety.
  • Ability to make decisions and proceed with confidence.
  • Experience using earned value analysis and cost performance reports.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
