Job Description

Senior Overhead Line Engineer (Manchester) My client, a major multidisciplinary Consultancy specialising in Civil, Structural and Water Engineering are looking for a Senior Overhead Line Engineer to join their fantastic team in Manchester. My client is renowned for their expertise and holistic, collaborativeapproach regarding both engineering and architectural innovation towards environmental sustainability. They are a unique team of specialists who are committed to understanding their challenges and finding smarter solutions within both public and private sectors.Responsibilities: You will be required to gather information and drawings directly from the National Grid, using your knowledge of overhead line design work (up to 400kV). It will be expected of you to ensure that key TSO and DNO relationships are maintained within the project.You will need to be able to encourage a great team spirit within the framework. You will be working with temporary diversion design, foundation design, thermal uprating conductors, feasibility studies and cable sealing end design alongside CAD Modelling systems.Requirements:

  • Knowledge of 3D modelling systems.
  • Proven experience and familiarity with a range of line-design work, structure design, feasibility studies and string drawings.
  • Experience with overhead line surveys.
