Job Description

Senior Mechanical Gas Engineer - ManchesterMy client, a multidisciplinary consultancy specialising in property and infrastructure projects, are looking for a Senior Mechanical Gas Engineer to join their prosperous Mechanical Team.   • A Degree/HND or equivalent in a suitable engineering qualification with desire to work towards or hold a Chartered status.
  • Experience working for a UK based consultancy or utility company.
  • Detailed knowledge of designing, planning Medium Pressure and Intermediate Pressure gas Infrastructure (High Pressure experience would be desired)
  • Understanding of IGEM Standards, including IGEM/TD/1, IGEM/TD/3 and IGEM/TD/13.
  • Knowledge of technical specifications for equipment including governors, pipe, and fittings.
  • Working knowledge of the IGEM/GL/5 process and associated gas industry associated processes (G/17, PS/5, G/35).
Responsibilities:As a Senior Mechanical Gas Engineer, you will be producing feasibility Studies and Conceptual designs on UK Gas projects, including pipelines and AGIs.You will be producing mechanical and gas engineering detailed designs on UK gas projects across all pressure tiers.Supporting with the project delivery and design coordination you will also be liaising with clients ensuring all design enquires are resolved, records are updated, and scheme progress is tracked.You will also be supporting with the project delivery and design coordination.In return for your commitment a competitive salary is on offer, continued training and development, flexible working, and a substantial benefits package.If you are interested in the role, please do not hesitate to call Paige Rees on or email to .Penguin Recruitment is operating as a Recruitment Agency in respect to this position.
