The company are looking for a Java/AWS developer to join their already knowledgeable team.You will have exceptional hands on development skills, you will have a say in the technologies used within the company and you will be working on the development of their cloud platform.You will get to use the full SDLC and will have a great opportunity to use various technologies. You will predominately be working on the backend. This is the type of role where your opinion will really count and you can have a huge impact on the progress of the company and technology stack. The team are working with microservices running in AWS and are looking to embed DevOps practices.You will be the type of person who has a passion for technology, any side projects would be advantageous. If you have a good understanding of architecture, design and coding then this could be the role for you.The company don’t like people doing overtime and their servers shut off at 19:00pm to ensure you have a great work/life balance. You will come from a permanent background and will demonstrate career development and passion for development.Required Skills:- Excellent Java development experience- Must have strong Serverless AWS Experience (Lambda, Kinesis, Dynamo)- Have a keen interest in Athena, Redshift, Docker with Fargate- Agile experience (scrum/Kanban)- Experience with Microservices- A Degree level qualification in software engineering or equivalent- TDD/BDD- CI/CD (Jenkins Ideally)Desirable skills:- CSS- REST API’s- SOAP- Architectural experienceThis role is home based but suitable applicants should be UK based (permanent UK headcount for payroll and tax implications, I’m afraid it is not possible to send monthly invoices from EU countries).The team meet up once a month for a day to update on strategy and build internal culture/relationships.The salary on offer for this position is up to £60,000 + 100% remote working + Flexible hours + 33 days holiday.If you are interested in this position then click APPLY NOW!
