Job Description

Senior Integration Developer - Manchester City Centre (Hybrid remote) £55k-£65kThis is an excellent opportunity to work on components of a complex enterprise platform built in .Net 6, that is used by tens of millions of people across the UK, and soon to be even more once launched in the U.S. next year.The system processes 1000s of transactions and calculations every second and handles huge amounts of live incoming data streams from a multitude of external feeds.Based in Manchester city centre (2 days a week in office), this role is paying between £55k and £65k + bonusTHE ROLE:You will be working within a team of seven (4 x backend developers, 1 x frontend developer and 2 x QAs), who are responsible for 3rd party integrations, building bespoke gateways and improving processing time and optimising performance.Duties:

  • Developing new features and services for the platform and other departments
  • Creating bespoke gateways for data transfer
  • Working on various large scale integrations and re-integration initiatives
  • Integrating sub-providers.
  • Document software design, code, and test procedures, as well as refining tickets to ensure no unnecessary work is undertaken.
  • Participate in automation and support the QA function through to release.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Participate in the estimation of software development projects.
  • Participate in customer and end-user interactions to gather requirements and provide support.
  • Mentor Junior Developers and assist with their professional development.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5+ years experience in C# .NET
  • Skilled in WCF and WebApis
  • Passion for optimisation and improving performance speed
  • Experience with integrations
  • Solid knowledge of design patterns and OOP concepts
  • Experience working according to Sprint / Agile
