Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Cloud) - NationwideDWF is currently looking to recruit a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Cloud) into our IT Infrastructure team. The role can be aligned any of our UK offices.In this senior technical position, reporting directly to the Infrastructure Service Delivery Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the technology, security and service delivery of DWFs Cloud function, including the mentoring and guidance of the our 3rd line infrastructure engineers.As our Cloud Technical Lead you will establish standards, design solutions and define roadmaps to secure our Cloud environment and ensure the highest operational standards are set, achieved and upheld. You will also have responsibility for project delivery working alongside our Architecture, Applications, InfoSec and Project Management teams.You have the opportunity to act as the Global Cloud Tower Owner, and organize, co-ordinate and control Service Management activity and ensure agreed customer targets are met whilst maintaining a high standard of workmanship.Additional responsibilities include:- Ensure Business As Usual (BAU) activities are maintained to the highest standards allowing complete service uptime of our core systems and hardware while developing business continuity and disaster recovery plans- Design practical, scalable and secure infrastructure solutions that maximize the sharing of applications, information, and resources across the companys global estate- Evaluate, test, recommend, and implement specific solutions in conjunction with Technical Architects whilst researching emerging technologies and making recommendations based on future business needs- Champion and promote collaboration, both internally and externally, including vendor relationship management- Represent Infrastructure in the status of service transition activities, service acceptance risks, service improvement initiatives, security compliance including CAB representation- Provide ongoing information to customers, peers and leadership regarding the health of our environment, technology innovations and industry best practice- Uphold security and compliance to client and internally led standards. Provide, report and own such non-functional requirements for all hardware infrastructure services- Operate in accordance with ITIL principles including Incident, Problem, Change & Design ManagementSkills & ExperienceThe successful candidate will have a detailed working knowledge/experience of all of the technologies listed below and have experience of providing ongoing information to leadership, customers, and peers regarding health of the environment, enhancements, innovations and secure network solutions and of assisting in the delivery of effective infrastructure projects and technologies.- Expert knowledge on Azure, including Governance and Cost Management- Azure Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) landing zones.- Knowledge of PowerShell and Azure Command Line Interface (CLI)- Knowledge of SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, IaC (ARM Templates)- Azure Active Directory (AAD) in addition to the Windows Active Directory, Privileged Identity Management (PIM)- Deployment of virtual machines, Applications, WebApps and APIs using Azure Portal and through PowerShell and CLI- Knowledge on Networking- i.e. VNets, Network Security Groups, VNet Peering, storage- Designing and analysis of Security and Disaster Recovery in Azure- Azure database options i.e. Azure SQL, SQL Managed Instance and SQL on Azure VMs- Migrating applications to the cloud starting from HLD, LLD to the actual physical migration- Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery ServicesApply now!
