Job Description

You will be liaising with shipping and deliveries to ensure goods arrive and are processed and delivered on time as well as successfully managing day to day contact with key accounts, responding promptly to communications and taking appropriate actions to ensure all customer needs are met. You will also be managing a small team for the business.Client DetailsOne of Manchesters leading fashion suppliers. This supplier has a number of high profile accounts and has strong Ecommerce presence to showcase their product. The business sells Dresses, Skirts, Tops, Co-ordinated sets, Playsuits, Jumpsuits, Jeans, Trousers, Blazers, Knitwear, Coats and Jackets, that are fashion forward.Description

  • Liaising with buyers and product development teams on new products and fabric developments
  • Managing and processing product development, sealing and production samples.
  • Liaising daily with factories in the far east
  • Raising, managing and tracking purchase orders and amending where necessary.
  • Critical path management to ensure all deadlines are met and are in accordance with customers requirements.
  • Managing factory capacities in line with customers needs and the critical path.
  • Maintaining the flow of accurate data and ensuring that all relevant files, fit comments, critical paths and test reports are kept up-to-date.
  • Requesting and managing lab dips, strike-offs, hand looms and bulk fabric
  • Managing and communicating shipping dates, quantities, customer delivery status and ensuring all deadlines meet purchase order dates.
  • Attending customer meetings to maintain good working relationships.
  • Booking fabric with fabric suppliers and maintaining a stock record.
    • Identifying and managing production and supply chain issues pro-actively with a focus on preventative measuresProfile
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role within fashion.
  • Have extensive experience managing and overseeing all aspects of import merchandising
  • Ideally be a Fashion Graduate (Buying and Merchandising Degree or similar).
  • Must have experience liaising with the factories overseas
  • Must be highly organized and have experience handling a busy workload in a fast-paced demanding business
  • Team player who can work to deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Must have strong attention to detail
  • Excellent numerical and Excel skills.
