Job Description

Location: Manchester City Centre - fully on-siteA fantastic and interesting opportunity available as a Senior HR Advisor with a global and award-winning company, excelling in their field. This company is renowned for their innovative and pioneering approach, originating in Manchester before expandinginternationally.The Senior HR Advisor is an integral member of the Human Resources team, responsible for providing key stakeholders worldwide with a full range of HR support and problem solving in an advisory capacity. This is a generalist role with a primary emphasis onEmployee Relations and Legal and Compliance across 8 countries. Solving challenges in different legal frameworks will be a daily occurrence and the ability to adapt to changing demands is a must.You Will:

  • Ensuring HR policies, procedures and other documents meet legal and regulatory requirements, recommending and implementing changes as required.
  • Knowledgeable on the full breadth of HR policies, including writing contracts.
  • Acting as the first point of contact to stakeholders, providing an efficient and professional HR service.
  • Proactive and effective end-to-end management of an Employee Relations caseload.
  • Proactively supporting the Head of HR to deliver cyclical HR activities; change management programmes; HR projects and to drive HR initiatives
  • Advise Senior managers and other stakeholders on issues relevant to the legal compliance of the area. Provide professional challenging advice to colleagues, managers, andpartnerorganisations.
  • Ensure the development and delivery of continuous improvements in all aspects of the service.
  • Harmonisation of global contracts and handbook across the business, working with managers and external resources ensuring the diligence of UP is best served whilst engagement is delivered i.e. comparison of terms, review of restrictive covenants.
  • Reviewing HR processes and issuing documentation, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
  • General HR administration, including but not limited to production of letters and other relevant HR documentation
    • Escalate when necessary, any non-compliance or potential breaches in regulation.
    • Oversee the compliance of all regulatory training, its tracking and recording. Requirements
    • CIPD qualified to L5, or other relevant HR qualification/experience.
    • Demonstrable experience providing complex ER support and advice to managers.
    • Able to draft contracts
    • Commercially minded approach to HR.
    • Experience within a global and diverse team.
    • A track record of building strong relationships, partnering closely with senior leaders.
    • Management of small teams.
    • Competency in using Word, Power point, Excel, and HR software.
    • Sound verbal and numerical skills.
    • Analytical approach.
    • Confidential and professional approach.
    • A commitment to developing others.
