Cobalt Recruitment are working with a NHS Organisation in Greater Manchester to recruit an excellent Senior Health & Safety Officer, offering an annual salary of £42,000-£46,000 per annum depending on experience.This role provides concise, timely and impartial advice, guidance and support to managers, directors and staff to ensure the effectiveness of the organisations arrangements for promoting safe environments and work activities.As the senior competent person in health and safety, the post holder will act as an expert resource and main point of contact in providing the knowledge and skills to assist in the generation of a positive health and safety culture throughout the organisation,continuously working towards the implementation of external requirements under HSE/Care Quality Commission outcomes.You will support the Associate Director, in managing all aspects of Health and Safety, Premises Assurance Model and Risk Register. You will provide professional advice in regards to:* H&S Legislation.* Approved Codes of Practice.* Building Regulations.* All other relevant legislation both within organisation bodies.The successful candidate will work closely with the Associate Director, Capital Projects team, Service Managers and Departmental managers in clinical and non-clinical areas to ensure the provision of a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors. Facilitatingsustained improved patient care and wellbeing.Experience in Health and Safety risk assessments and safety training is essential. The post holder will be required to work closely with operational teams to ensure that good standards of health and safety management are implemented and maintained acrossthe estate. The post holder will possess significant experience of formulating and delivering health and safety training for staff and senior managers.The post holder will act as a resource and liaise with managers and staff at all levels within the organisation, implementing health and safety standards and initiatives. You will assist in the identification of health and safety priorities and in the overallprioritisation within the annual strategic plan.You will have/be:
