Job Description

Job Overview:Part of the Performance Analysis & Debug Team within the Central Engineering - Development Solutions Group, we build tools and products with the aim of supporting SoC and OEM vendors with their silicon bring-up, verification and collateral software, allusing the latest IP products from Arm and other vendors. The DSTREAM Family of debug probes provide a high performance debug capability, which is ideal when needing fast downloads, adaptive JTAG clock rates, and parallel streaming trace. We are seeking anFPGA Engineer to help develop the next generation of DSTREAM probes.Responsibilities:As part of a team delivering debug hardware and software that enables Arms partners to build the future of computing, you will be responsible for the design and development of our latest probe FPGA. You will work closely with our PCB designers and softwareengineers, writing specifications and participating in reviews of your work. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with our partners as they bring up new systems and pioneer groundbreaking trace technologies and with Arms other experts as we innovatenew debug & trace technologies!Required Skills and Experience :

  • At least 5 years FPGA development experience
  • Be proficient in hardware description languages VHDL and Verilog for RTL and testbench design
  • Familiar with FPGA constraints files and working through timing issues
  • Possess a solid understanding of Xilinx FPGA development tools Vivado/ISE
  • Understanding of FPGA simulation tools such as Modelsim
  • Hands on experience with the end-to-end development and debugging of Xilinx 7-series and Ultrascale+ FPGAs
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :
  • An appreciation of the PCB design process
  • Use of version control repositories such as Git and Subversion
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Python and TCL )
  • Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. C and C++)
  • Knowledge of serial protocols PCIe and Xilinx Aurora 8b10b
  • Knowledge of debug protocols JTAG and SWD
  • Experience with debugging Arm processors using debug and trace
