Job Description

FP&A Lead/ Post Qualified (ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA)/ Power BI Analysis/ Continual Improvement Lead/ Career Development Routes / Excellent Benefits/ Hybrid Working/ On Site ParkingDue to an internal promotion, an opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and ambitious post qualified FP&A Accountant to fulfill a lead position in my clients senior Finance Team.As a global organisation who occupy the UK’s leading space in their field, my client is looking to add talent to their team, and they are welcoming of new ideas and strategic insight to support continual improvements within the department.You will be joining an innovative and dynamic team and will play an integral role in their continued success. This position will be instrumental in providing financial projects, planning and analysis.Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage multiple strategic projects across a range of business areas, balancing routine responsibilities with the demands of new, urgent projects as they arise.
  • Develop and execute project plans, ensuring efficient resource allocation, strict deadline management, and achievement of project goals.
  • Maintain documentation for all projects, including creating, updating, and preserving training materials and process documents to ensure clarity and consistency across the wider business.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to document meeting outcomes, defining clear actions and deadlines that drive momentum and accountability.
  • Lead the analysis of financial variances, identifying underlying business drivers and providing actionable insights to senior management.
  • Engage in rigorous cost analysis projects, promoting the key mission and values at all levels.
  • Enhance existing data collection methodologies and work with departmental and group stakeholders to refine data systems for robust reporting mechanisms.
  • Distribute analytical reports, leveraging advanced software tools, to inform stakeholders and facilitate data-driven decision-making.
  • Play an active role in leading the strategic forecasting and budgeting processes, identifying potential risks and opportunities for the business.
  • Support continual improvements across the department, promoting the use of Power BI for more efficient analysis of data.
Required Experience:
  • Post qualified ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA
  • Previous experience in a similar capacity gained in an Industry role (ideally within a larger group business
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record of implementing practical solutions that enhance business operations.
  • Proven expertise in leveraging systems for strategic change, with a track record of initiating and implementing system automation to streamline operations.
  • Expertise in Excel and familiarity with complex Planning and Reporting systems (such as Oracle BI and Power BI).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and effectively communicate insights in relation to business performance and strategy
  • Confident and collaborative interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and networks across the Group, outlining financial concepts to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage changing priorities, processes and systems.
  • A curious and analytical mindset, with the confidence to ask difficult questions and challenge established processes to ensure a continual focus on seeking operational improvements and efficiencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively, and manage tight deadlines, balancing project work with routine tasks.
  • A Strategic and analytical mentality with a detail-oriented approach and the ability to understand complex systems and concepts.
  • Self-motivated with the capacity to manage multiple projects with varying degrees of complexity.
