Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Senior Finance Manager to join a reputable not-for-profit organisation in Greater Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial operations, ensuring the integrityof accounting information, and contributing to the overall strategic direction of the organisation.Client DetailsThe employing organisation is a well-established not-for-profit organisation in Greater Manchester that oversees a network of academies. They are committed to providing excellent educational opportunities to individuals in the region.DescriptionThe key responsibilities of a Senior Finance Managerwill include, but may not be limited to;

  • Overseeing the financial operations of the trust.
  • Providing effective financial management reports to trustees and senior leadership.
  • Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of all financial transactions.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of the trusts strategic plan.
  • Liaising with external auditors and managing the audit process.
  • Managing the trusts cash flow and forecasting.
  • Ensuring the trust is compliant with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Leading and managing the finance team to ensure efficient operation.
ProfileA successful Senior Finance Manager should have:
  • A professional qualification in accounting or finance.
  • Experience in a senior finance role within a Not for Profit and Charities setting, education desirable.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial management principles and practices.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear manner.
  • Ability to commute to Manchester.
