Job Description

Axon Moore are working with a hugely successful, High Growth business who have PE backing and are going through a period of growth, transformation and change. They are looking for a Senior Finance to join them on an interim basis for 6 months, possiblylonger.As Senior Finance Manager you will be working across the Group, ensuring the quality delivery of month end and year end accounts preparation, supporting a strong control environment and enabling clean audit reports. You will be based in Manchester and will go into the office 3 days per week with 2 days working from home.Duties:

  • Mentoring a team in delivering accounting activities across multiple international subsidiaries, including Commissions, Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger
  • Leading the reporting of recent acquisition of a high profile business
  • Executing month-end closing routines and provision of first level management reporting and analysis to business units
  • Leading and managing the year end audit ensuring both internal and external timelines are met and providing regular updates to the auditors and the companies senior management team
  • Preparing the year end consolidation file to allow timely preparation of the Statutory accounts with 3rd party provider
  • Ensuring external regulatory deadlines are met on time and in full
  • Ensuring a clean Trial Balance across all business units and all processes feeding into the process
  • Ensuring compliance with all accounting standards, compliance requirements, etc. across the processes
  • Work with other teams in finance and the business to resolve issues.
  • To be able to plan, prioritise own and team’s workload and to ensure deadlines are achieved; customer queries/disputes are resolved quickly and efficiently.
  • Lead, motivate, develop and manage the team
  • Ensuring the operating model and structure within the Management Accounts team is sustainable and fit for purpose.
  • Develop continuous improvement initiatives with the team.
Person Specification:
  • A wealth of experience gained in a similar environment
  • ACCA, ACA, or CIMA Qualified
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines
  • Previous experience of Group Consolidation
  • Proven leadership / people mentoring experience
  • Proven experience of working in a fast-paced, changing, environment excellent communication skills both written and verbal
