Job Description

Robert Walters are excited to be partnering with a leading legal firm in their search for a Senior Finance Business Partner to join the business on a permanent basis. Based in Manchester City Centre, the business has been through a period of transformationalchange, and as such, a clear set of initiatives have been identified. These initiatives require finance to monitor and track their progress, alongside helping with business cases, decision support, analysis and upskilling the business teams to ensure the businessis as profitable and efficient as it can be.The Senior Finance Business Partner role is a pure business partnering opportunity, whereby you would focus on working with the business on key projects and strategic initiatives on their 3-year plan. The role will also work closely with Finance and the operational/commercialteams, but most of the time will be spent outside of finance as a division, influencing, challenging and supporting other departments as the business goes through a period of transformational change.Key Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with all Shared Services Heads/Directors, helping them deliver on their cost targets and helping them find ways to become more efficient.
  • Build relationships with Operations Managers/Directors, helping to improve processes to improve cash collection, reduce write offs and reduce risk, plus support negotiations with key suppliers.
  • Own business cases for major investment projects e.g new systems, or property moves.
  • Provide support on longer term strategy formation with Exec Team
Key Skills:
  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA preferred but not essential)
  • Proven ability to influence and challenge effectively with the ability to communicate effectively regardless of audience
  • Microsoft Excel (advanced) level
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent team leadership skills
