Job Description

Our client are a growing digital agency.Theyre now looking for an experienced Drupal Developer who wants to take their career to the next level.The agency are a group self motivated group of web developers, passionate about technology.This is a great opportunity for a talented individual to drive backend development forwards at a growing agency, building a new team and establishing new processes and systems.Youll understand the leap from Drupal 7 to 8, 9 and beyond and have some experience with building sites using Composer, and looking after config for your projects. Youll be able to jump right in, comfortable with Git and glad to see automated deploymentprocesses get your code live. Happy to contribute to discussions and lead by example.ResponsibilitiesYou will be expected to oversee the delivery of the following regular tasks, along with any other tasks that are required to meet your roles objectives.

  • Developing and maintaining Drupal 7, 8 and 9 websites
  • Using Composer to update modules and dependencies
  • Merging code responsibly and contributing to Code Reviews
Skills and ExperienceYou probably need these skills to be great at this job
  • Be proficient with PHP
  • Have experience building modules or themes in Drupal 7, 8, 9 and beyond!
  • Built or integrated some REST APIs
  • Can query and maintain MySQL / PostgreSQL
  • Know your way around Git, GitHub, GitLab, Git anything really.
Having experience with these skills would be a benefit
  • Familiar with Docker
  • Have hands on experience with Go, Python or Node.js
  • Used a framework like Laravel or Symphony

  • Location: Full-time office working is not required, but occasional collaboration in the agencys Manchester office is required.
  • Hours: 5 days per week is preferred, but part time applications are welcome.
  • Ideal experience: This is a Senior role, so were looking for more than 8 years commercial experience. Well also be looking for someone thats worked in a digital agency before.
