Senior Data Scientist – Marketing | Machine LearningManchester (remote working initially, semi-remote permanently)£50k - £60k + BenefitsThis is an exciting role for an experienced Data Scientist with a background working on Marketing projects, to join a talented Analytics team within a leading Ecommerce business in Manchester City Centre. With a Digital Marketing budget of over £40m per year (equivalent to 45% of their total business spend), efficient spend-allocation and propensity-to-purchase modelling are vital tasks to maximise the profitability of the business.As our successful Data Science specialist, you’re an expert Econometrician with experience utilising machine learning techniques for modelling customer behaviour. You enjoy an Agile, fast-paced environment where you are given the autonomy to manage and prioritise your own projects, as well as building your own econometrics model if you wish.Typical projects will include linking CRM database to web behaviour, marketing spend allocation (Paid Search), building models to predict propensity-to-purchase and churn (inc. Lifetime value analysis), attribution modelling (Shapley or similar) and improving algorithms for product placement in on-site search results – therefore experience working with Marketing, Insight and Analytics teams is essential.From a technical perspective you’ll have a programming background with strong skills in SQL development along with either Python or R as well as knowledge of public cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
