Job Description

Join the Close Brothers Invoice Finance (CBIF) team where you will ensure delivery of excellent service to not only your own portfolio of Corporate clients, but the portfolios of the Corporate Client Managers that you will oversee. The facilities in in theseportfolios will range from £3m to £65m. Through the endeavours of you and your team, you will maximise client life and income while minimising risk of loss to the company through client bad debt. You will also provide support to the team and Head of Corporate Portfolio. To be successful in this role you will be a strong leader with excellent stakeholder management and problem solving skills and will possess strong technical knowledge around Invoice Finance, especially risk. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and control a portfolio of approx. 5-7 large, complex invoice discounting and ABL clients.
  • Manage a team of 2-3 Corporate Client Managers, providing coaching, training and support where needed.
  • Minimise the risk of loss through use of risk management tools and implementation of risk management procedures.
  • Maximise client life by ensuring delivery of excellent service, engaging Senior Management where appropriate and implement additional services where appropriate.
  • Maximise income by ensuring the correct fee rates are maintained, and by ensuring additional fees are charged where appropriate.
  • Undertake annual client reviews, and ad hoc reviews where facility changes are required and make appropriate presentations to Senior Management / CBIF Board.
  • Source new business opportunities for both CBIF and the wider Close Brothers Group.
  • Provide a business underwriting resource as required.
  • Ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out to the standards required.
Developing Our People: As a line manager, you will be responsible for inspiring and motivating your team, as well as developing performance through coaching. You will encourage your team to take responsibility for their own personal developmentand provide support through regular feedback. WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF:
  • You have industry specific experience including exposure to credit & risk.
  • Youve got a proven track record of successful Client Management
  • You have recent Line Management experience.
  • You can demonstrate the ability to build strong and effective working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • You have excellent problem solving, critical thinking, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • You have the ability to plan for and keep track of multiple projects and deadlines.
  • You have proven experience in working proactively and taking initiative.
IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU:
  • Have experience of presenting at Credit Committee level.
  • Possess Insolvency experience and knowledge.
