Job Description

Senior Cateogy Manager - ApparelBased in the North West, our client is a highly successful company and one of the UKs fastest growing retailers.The online business is growing rapidly across all categories and channels and as such, an opportunity for a Senior Category Manager - Apparel, has become available.The role of Senior Category Manager - Apparel, for our client based in the North West will lead the Buying and Merchandising team acrross apparel, to develop and implement best practise, competitive ranges and accelerated perdformance.Key responsibilities will include:

  • Identify and deliver a category stategy that supports business objectives and keeps the customer at the heart of everything
  • Lead,motivate and inspire the team to ensure they are meeting KPIs relating to availability, stock velocity, OTB, Sales and Conversion
  • Develop a sourcing strategy that reflects a true partnership approach
  • Take accountability for category P&L
  • Hands on involvement in managing pricing, availability, range, suppliers and sourcing
  • Maximise category performance through creating effective relationships cross functionally including Data Science, Marketing, Supply Chain to name a few
    • About you:
  • Currently operating at a Buying Manager or Senior Buying Manager level, with a genuine understanding of merchandising processes
  • You will have a minimum of five years experience of apparel buying within retail, online experience advantageous
  • A very strong leader who operates with pace, passion and emotional intelligence
  • Highly commercial and analytical in approach
