Job Description

Job Profile for Senior Buyer - FMCGBennett and Game are representing a Leading FMCG distribution specialist actively seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to join their Manchester Location.Our clients are leader in providing bulk wholesale products across FMCG categories such as, Soft drinks, Grocery, Confectionary and Household goods.Senior Buyer - FMCG Position Overview

  • Managing a £20M portfolio of purchases per annum across multiple categories
  • Define category strategies, range, pricing and promotional strategies
  • Manage, mentor and train a small team to be able to deliver category growth objectives
  • Leveraging network connections to source the best deals
  • Agree JBPs and Market activities with Manufactures/Suppliers
  • Develop relationships with Suppliers and Manufacturers
  • Manage Supplier and Manufacturer payment terms payments
  • Proactively manage orders, deliveries and transport to maximise profitability
Senior Buyer - FMCG Position Requirements
  • In-depth knowledge of the FMCG industry and traditional UK grocery categories
  • Experience buying across multiple categories with in FMCG
  • Experience managing and developing a team
  • Experience with computer software (Excel; VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, SUMIF etc)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proactive and problem-solving mentality
  • Ability to efficiently analyse data and perform numerical tasks
  • Ability to multi task at pace
  • Experience with P&L reports
  • Experience Buying/Selling in a wholesale environment (Desirable)
  • Degree educated (Desirable)
Senior Buyer - FMCG Position Remuneration
  • Salary: £40-£50k
