This Brigg Scientific client are a well known chemical company based in South Manchester. They are looking for a Senior Analytical Chemist, who is still looking to be hands on in the laboratory. They operate 3 main forms of instrumentation. Liquid Chromatography (LC), Gas Chromatography (GC) and Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP). The Senior Analytical Chemist is responsible for the ongoing functionality of the afore mentioned equipment. Basic maintenance, calibration, testing and simple method correction or alteration. Occasionally new method development.This role sits within an established group of junior chemists and takes an over view of the testing requirement, whilst remaining hands on in the testing laboratory.The Senior Analytical Chemist will be able to operate all three types of analytical equipment mentioned. LC or HPLC, GC and ICP.This is an industrial Chemistry environment and can be have the requirement for outdoor work and interaction with production or technical operatives.The role is Monday to Friday, 8.00am - 5.30pm and carries a salary of between £28,000 and £32,000. The upper end may be flexible depending on candidates with specifically relevant experience.Applications are invited from Senior Analytical Chemists from the Chemical production industries, Waste transfer industry, water, food or Environmental testing industries who demonstrate skills in the LC, HPLC, GC and ICP mentioned.
