Job Description

A supportive and compassionate SEND Primary in Stockport is looking for full-time Primary Teaching Assistant to join their specialist team. This role specifically focuses on Primary SEN support, providing additional assistance to children with Special EducationalNeeds. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support the development and progress of all pupils in the classroom. This is a full time position, offering an excellent opportunity for individuals who are committed to makinga positive impact on the lives of young learners.The school is looking for someone who is keen to develop and will thrive by working collaboratively within a wonderful supportive team. This role may also include supporting children 1:1. You will be an excellent fit for this role if you are encouraging,hard-working and caring.   • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a SEND school setting
  • Knowledge, understanding and/or experience of Special Educational Needs
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A patient and empathetic approach to working with children with additional needs
  • A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools)
  • Be flexible, proactive and patient
  • Be able to communicate effectively within a team
  • Be committed to work full-time
