Join our SEND community at Tradewind in Greater Manchester!Are you a Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with special needsAre you looking to take the next step in your careerRole: SEN Teaching Assistant at a special needs high school in North Manchester.This is a great opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who is passionate that all young people should have the chance to achieve no matter their obstacles to learning.Its also a fantastic chance to utilise your skills to the full and learn some new ones along the way in a welcoming, supportive and forward thinking special needs high school.Starting in ASAP.Full time, Monday to Friday 8:30am-3:30pm.Temp to perm for the right person.Excellent pay up to £90/day.Paid PAYE direct by Tradewind.FREE access to over 2,500 online courses via The National College.

• You will need to offer a holistic approach involving academic, emotional, behavioural, pastoral and physical support.
• You will be working in groups of no more than 8 pupils at a time.
• Working closely with the class teacher and other TAs in your group to deliver the best outcomes for your pupils.
• Sometimes you may need work 1:1.
• Some young people require Personal Care including toileting, changing and personal hygiene.
• Some require Moving & Handling support with wheelchairs and hoists.

• This is a special needs school in Manchester for secondary aged children with Autism, Complex Needs.

To join us and be successful in this SEN Teaching Assistant role, you will need to:

• Have an enhanced DBS certificate (or be happy to apply for a new one).
• Overseas Police Certificates (if applicable).
• Minimum of 2 professional references.
• Provide a CV with a full history from your education until present.
• Have the legal right to work in the UK.
• Some experience supporting children with special needs.
