Job Description

Tradewind are recruiting!This is an SEN Support Worker role in the north Manchester area starting in January 2023 on a full time & long term basis at a secondary special needs school for young people with Complex Needs and Severe Learning Disabilities, SLD. Payup to £85/day.

  • SEN Support Worker at a special needs high school in north Manchester.
  • Starting in in January 2023 on a full time basis.
  • Will turn permanent for the right person.
  • Hours are 8:30am - 3:30pm.
  • Pay up to £85/day.
  • As the new SEN Support Worker it will be your role to support pupils on a 1:1 basis with their care and education.
  • You will be working in groups of no more than 8 pupils at a time.
  • Some pupils require personal care including toileting and changing.
  • Some require Moving & Handling support with wheelchairs and hoists.
  • This is a secondary special needs school for young people aged 11-16 with Complex Needs and Severe Learning Disabilities, SLD.
  • Rated Outstanding by Ofsted.
  • Access to ongoing CPD.
  • Collaborative, welcoming and inclusive team environment.
  • Approachable management.
  • Easily accessible by bus, metrolink or car.
To join us and be successful in this SEN Support Worker role, you will need to:
  • Have an enhanced DBS certificate (or be happy to apply for a new one).
  • Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable)
  • Minimum of 2 professional references.
  • Provide a CV with a full history from your education until present.
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
  • Some experience supporting young people with challenging behaviours.
