Job Description

Are you empathetic, patient & resilientDo you want to work in an outstanding rated schoolTradewind are recruiting for aSEN Primary Teaching Assistant at a primary special needs school in the Trafford area catering for children aged 3-11 with Autism & Complex Needs.

  • SEN Primary Teaching Assistant at a primary SEN school the Trafford area.
  • Starting ASAP on a full time basis, Mon to Fri.
  • Opportunity to turn permanent for the right person.
  • Hours are 8:30am - 3:30pm.
  • Excellent pay up to £85/day.

  • As the new SEN Primary Teaching Assistant you will need to support pupils with Autism & Complex Needs.
  • You will be working in groups of no more than 8 pupils at a time.
  • You will need to work as a team to manage challenging situations and make progress with your pupils.
  • Often 1:1 support will be required as well
  • Sometimes personal care or moving & handling tasks will be needed.
  • Pupils respond well to motivation, encouragement & positive reinforcement.
  • The school caters for children aged 3-11.
  • Rated outstanding by Ofsted.
  • Access to ongoing CPD.
  • Focus on prevention and non invasive de-escalation strategies to support children.
  • Aim for all pupils, regardless of background or ability to be successful and valued.

  • Have an enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service
  • Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable).
