SEN Secondary Teaching Assistant - ManchesterAre you a qualified Level 3 SEN TA looking for a new challenge in ManchesterI am currently recruiting for a SEND TA to work in mainstream Secondary school in Manchester to start in ASAP. This role will be supporting pupils with SEN, Global Developmental Delay & Speech and Language difficulties.The school encompasses a nurturing environment where pupils are encouraged to lead their own learning. You will encourage this ethos through guided learning sessions and creative intervention with the pupil. The ultimate goal is for the pupil to be reintegratedinto the classroom.To be successful in this role you will require:* Level 3 + Teaching Assistant Qualification (NVQ / CACHE preferable)* Experience supporting pupils with SEND on a one-to-one basis* Excellent working knowledge of the GCSE curriculum* Recent school experience within the last 2 yearsResponsibilities include:* Provide one to one, small group and/or in class support for identified students with additional needs including those with a statement of special educational needs (or an Education, Health and Care Plan).* In providing support, to employ teaching strategies to encourage the student to work with increasing independence within a group and class.* Adapt or modify materials and resources to ensure full access to a broad and balanced curriculum.* Support student access to the curriculum by differentiating learning activities where appropriate.* Develop a positive relationship with the student to support progress and attainment and promote self-esteem and independence.* Support the student as part of a planned inclusion programme and provide intervention strategies and programmes as requested.* Deliver intervention and support strategies for specific students as directed by the teacher.* Provide feedback to the student on their progress, achievement, and attainment.* Support the use of ICT in learning activitiesThis is an excellent opportunity to work at one of the best schools in the area and secure a full time post in September.I am keen to talk to teaching assitants who are interested in working this forward thinking school.Aspire People Limited provides services as an Education Agency and an Education Employment Business.
