Join a world-leading trust in oncology treatment and research;Working with a dedicated operating team and an award-winning organisation which invests in its staff.We are looking for a passionate and motivated Scrub Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner to join our expanding theatre service at The Christie.It is an exciting time to join as the Christie is constantly evolving and innovative new surgical procedures and techniques are being introduced.We currently have six operating theatres including two Da Vinci Robotic theatres and an Endoalpha Olympus Laparoscopic theatre.Specialities covered are primarily oncology related Colorectal, Urology, Gynaecology and Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. Many surgeries taking part as a multi-speciality procedure including our leading Peritoneal Tumour Service carrying out Cytoreductive and HIPEC surgery and Total Pelvic Clearances.We currently provide a service to both NHS patients and patients via The Christie Private Care.You will be a qualified nurse/ODP committed to delivering high quality care with a desire to further develop your career within this rewarding specialty. You will need to have good communication skills, be highly motivated and be able to work using your own initiative.Post-holders will be enrolled on our orientation programme, with a designated mentor and programme tailored to your current level of experience and knowledge.You will be required to work 37.5 hours, 4 or 5 days flexibly over 6 days (Monday to Saturday) with a commitment to out of hours on call.For further details / informal visits contact:Preethi Thomas, telephone, email
