Job Description

Science Technician - ManchesterProspero Teaching are looking for a Science Technician to work in a large secondary school in Manchester to start as soon as possible and will be full time.We are ideally looking for someone that is comfortable working with young people and who has a sound knowledge of science. Your duties will include preparation of resources, maintenance, cleaning of equipment and stock management. Previous experience ofworking in a similar role is required.CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILSLocation - ManchesterPosition - Science TechnicianStart date - April 2023End date - July 2023Contract type - TemporaryFull timeMinimum rate of pay - £100 per dayHours - 8:30 am - 4pmEXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONSPrevious experience working in a UK school as a Science Technician (desirable)Hold a Scientific degreeUp to date safeguarding training in the last year (essential, however, training can be provided)Up to date prevent awareness training in the last 3 years (essential, however, training can be provided)Up to date behaviour management & FGM training (essential, however, training can be provided).TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or be willing to process a new application at a cost of £45.80.
  • Provide a minimum of two professional references covering at least the last two years.
  • Provide a history from your education in Secondary School to the present day, with a full employment history.
